Operation Tupelo Pies

We are offering our customers a special Valentine’s Day opportunity. We’d like to thank our customers Barbara and George Groome for the inspiration!

Our pecan pies are fantastic and this year the holiday orders for pies far exceeded our expectations.   More and more companies are giving them as corporate gifts.  One particular order, however, caught our eye – it was an order for a pie to be shipped to American troops in Afghanistan.  In all honesty, we wondered how it would arrive but decided to trust the US Postal Service.

We were ecstatic to hear via email that the pie arrived intact and was deemed “the best pecan pie in the world” by a group of United States soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.  The pie was shipped to Asheville Middle School teacher CPT. Kenny Nichols who shared his pie after declaring a “Pie Holiday.”  The heartwarming story got us thinking and we decided to offer our customers the opportunity to send a pie to a soldier in Afghanistan for FREE!

Be one of the first 30 respondents and we will send your soldier a pecan pie for Valentine’s Day.  Here’s what we will need:

Send an email to:  lynne@tupelohoneycafe.com with the words PECAN PIE in the subject line.  In the text of the email you must include the soldier’s complete name and address as well as your name, address, and telephone number.  You may also include a gift message.  One entry per family please.

Would you like to be a part of the “virtual card” that we’re sending to soldiers?  If so, please go to: www.operationtupelopies.com and post your message.

If you’re interested in donating a pie to a soldier and adding to our 30 pies, please visit our website at shop.tupelohoneycafe.com.  In the gift card section of the order, please type OPERATION TUPELO PIES.  We will send a pie from you to the next soldier on the list.  Your order form will show your address as the shipping address, but we’ll know what to do.

Thank you for helping us share the love!
